31 Day Challenge

Lately I have been strongly and fiercely reminded of the importance of putting your marriage and your (your spouse and yourself's) relationship with God as THE number one priority in your life. Don't get me wrong, Tyler and I have had a pretty awesome marriage over the past 2+ years, but if I am being honest, there have already been times when we have stopped making as much of an effort. I like to call this the comfy phase of marriage. :)

Now, you trust that I love me some comfy. But I totally see how a constant state of comfy within a marriage can lead to more destructive things.

God has really laid it on my heart (and Tyler's) to put each other and our personal & joint relationship with Christ as nĂºmero UNO.

Now, God being awesome as He pretty much always is, led me to something that I can't help but believe is His not-so-subtle way of telling me I should pay attention.

I stumbled across an article today from a friend's blog about the importance of praying for our spouse. Amber pretty much sums my thoughts up perfectly so I just encourage you to read her post.

Day 1
Pray that your husband will grow spiritually and consider his accountability before the Lord. Pray that he will guard his heart by developing spiritual disciplines--reading and studying the Word, prayer, meditation, scripture memorization, worship, etc.

Here's the link to the article.

Who wants to join me in this for the month of March??

(Also, as a random side note: Tyler's birthday is in March. Ok, I get it God! :)
